An Antiques Roadshow will be the feature event at this year’s Wilson Home Family Fun Day to be held on Sunday 28 March. We have been fortunate to recruit a panel of expert antiques valuers who have volunteered their time to assess antiques and family treasures that are brought to the event.
The fair and road show which is organised by the Rotary Clubs of Takapuna North and Milford will be held in the grounds of the Wilson Home on the corner of Lake Road and St Leonards Road, Takapuna, commencing at 11.oo am.
A limit of two items per visitor has been set so that everyone gets a fair chance to spend some time with the valuers’ panel. A charge of $10.00 per visitor wishing to have their antiques assessed will contribute to the overall funds raised for the Wilson Home Trust for Children with Disabilities and Rotary community projects.
This year’s valuers’ panel will be Donald Melville (Donald Melville Antiques), James Parkinson (Art & Object), and Paul Nilsson (Gem Labs).
While you wait for your treasures to be assessed you will be able to watch the panel at work on a closed circuit television relay and listen to their comments through the sound system.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity. Bring your family and your antiques and enjoy all the fun of the fair.
